After the creation of the program, the need arose to establish contacts with professors\/researchers from other institutions, both for the growth of the program and for the qualification of graduate students. From there came the idea of organizing an event every two years that would enable this contact with researchers in ethics and political philosophy, the program&#8217;s area of concentration. This event, which began in 2009, takes place in odd-numbered years and seeks to discuss relevant topics in philosophy and other related areas.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>1st Edition<\/strong> <strong>(2009)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The \u201c<strong>I International Congress of Moral and Political Philosophy<\/strong>\u201d had as its inaugural theme the reflection on <strong>Virtues, Rights and Democracy<\/strong>, providing a convergent place for the dissemination of works by Brazilian and foreign researchers, as well as providing an opportunity for discussion in the academic environment of postgraduate studies.
