8th<\/sup> Workshop on Circuits and Systems Design<\/p>\n

Bento Gon\u00e7alves – Rio Grande do Sul – Brazil – August 27 to 31, 2018<\/strong><\/p>\n

This eighth Workshop on Circuits and System Design – WCAS 2018 is devoted to the presentation and discussion of design experiences with a high degree of relevance in industrial, educational and research contexts, as well as innovative design methodologies and application of specific design technologies in an industrial context. The workshop is organized within two tracks: industrial and academic. Contributions should illustrate state-of-the-art designs, design methodologies or tools, which will provide viable solutions in tomorrow\u2019s silicon and embedded systems. The contribution should present electronic circuit and system design results from FPGA and\/or ASIC prototypes, or from simulation. Designs that achieve a specific record in terms of performance, power management or any other concrete advantage compared to the state-of-the-art for a given application domain should also be submitted to this workshop. Validated methodologies and techniques through demonstration are welcome.<\/p>\n

Call For Papers<\/h2>\n

The authors are invited to submit a 2-to-4 page and double column version of the paper. The text must focus on the presentation of results and contain essential information with sufficient detail to be understood technically. The inclusion of measured results for key parameters, schematics, and a tabulated comparison with the state-of-the-art are strongly recommended. For papers on integrated circuits submitted to the industrial track, results from silicon implementation, including a die photograph, are mandatory. For aca-demic submissions, results from simulations will also be accepted, provided that the simulations take into account non-idealities that will affect the practical realization of the circuit. Other contributions on design methodology and also proof of concept using discrete electronics are welcome.<\/p>\n
