It has a multidisciplinary character receiving contributions from other disciplines, such as urban planning and architecture, psychology, human geography, tourism, urban sociology and anthropology. Research on this topic involves studies of perception (how the individual perceives the environment), cognition (how the individual’s mind absorbs and structures the information received from the environment) and behaviour (how the individual understands, reacts and modifies the environment).

Coordinators: Prof Dr Adriana Portella; Prof Dr Gisele Pereira; Prof Dr Cristhian Moreira Brum; Prof Dr Nirce Saffer Medvedoski.

Contemporary Urbanism and Territories

This theme encompasses studies in different contemporary aspects related to the urban scale.
