Bruno Zatt received his B.S. and M.S. in Computer Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Porto Alegre, Brazil, in 2006 and 2008, respectively. He has received his Ph.D. degree on Microelectronics from the PGMICRO (Graduate Program on Microelectronics) at the same university in 2012 with “summa cum laude” distinction. Currently, Bruno Zatt is a Professor at the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel), Pelotas, Brazil, and a member of the Group of Architectures and Integrated Circuits (GACI) and the Video Technology Research Group (ViTech). He has 14+ years research experience on algorithms and hardware architectures for video processing including 3 years as an intern researcher at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Karlsruhe, Germany, and experience as a visiting professor at the University of California, Irvine, USA. He has published over 90 papers in international journals/conferences and one book named “3D video coding for embedded devices”. Since 2017, Prof. Zatt holds the status of CNPq productivity research fellow.
